The Green Metal Water Bottle

Well I'm not so sure if it's common practice for green metal water bottles to lose themselves but I lost a green metal water bottle I called mine on a day I was travelling out of town.
I kept the green metal water bottle on the side pouch meant for water bottles green metal or otherwise and I travelled in a hired cab to the bus station.
I got off at the bus station and after the hired cab left I realized that the green metal water bottle was missing.
It must have fallen off the side pouch of the bag onto the cab seat I thought and I looked at my wrist watch and saw that there wasn't enough time for me to run behind the cab to collect my green metal water bottle and it already was almost time for the departure of my bus and so I decided to let go of the green metal water bottle even though I felt a little sad.
I had two other green metal water bottles that I had bought as a set of three and so I thought it was okay even if one of the three green metal water bottles went missing, because I'd always have two other green metal water bottles with me, and that I could always pretend that one of those two green metal water bottles was the green metal water bottle that I lost and so I wouldn't even realize that I lost a green metal water bottle. They all looked exactly the same anyway.
And so I travelled and I came back and I did not think much about the lost green metal water bottle anymore and then one morning when I was getting ready for work I found that green metal water bottle that I had thought was lost. I realized that I had forgotten to keep the green metal water bottle in the side water bottle pouch of my backpack on the day of my travel.
I quickly went to the kitchen and saw that there were two other green metal water bottles. Yes. So nothing was lost. The green metal water bottle was not lost too. Yes.
And so I was happy very happy elated and I held the lost and found green metal water bottle in my hand and I jumped in joy and I jumped up and down and the green metal water bottle that I held in my hand slipped and it fell and it hit the floor and it broke into a million small little pieces as if it were a glass bottle oh no.
I didn't know if it was common practice for excited green metal water bottles to break into a million small little pieces when they hit the ground as if they were glass bottles I stood there and looked at all the broken pieces of the green metal water bottle on the floor and I tried to count the broken pieces if there indeed were a million small little broken pieces on the floor but there were way too many of them and I didn't have the time to count them all.
And then I doubted if it indeed was the lost green metal water bottle that I had found that morning or if it was a glass water bottle that I mistook for the lost green metal water bottle.
But either way, the bottle was not with me anymore. It was either lost or was broken. This or that.
I thought about the two other green metal water bottles from the set and I consoled myself that the  green metal water bottle was never lost or broken and that I could also pretend that one of those two bottles was the green metal water bottle that was either broken or lost. They all looked exactly the same anyway.
I felt a little sad all over again that morning and I forgot all about it an hour later when I stood at the cafe and drank a hot cup of coffee.
