rainbow bridge

her rainbow connects this world to the next
arched across her skies, it's monochrome - a
rainbow in black and white, and shades of
gray

see her take the first step on one end
as the clouds wither away, flying silver dust
all around - with her every step
heavy

and she walks with pride as the leaves fall
away and all around her, autumn in heaven
or wherever she is or someplace above
distant

with nothing and none surrounding
her rainbow to walk upon and nothing besides
with a soul filled with confusions, longing and painful
pride

she walks an ineveitable walk of loneliness
making leaves, clouds disappear with her words
across the rainbow that slowly shatters - she, her face
proud

with a put-on all knowing smirk

can only say once or twice at times, but dealing with the lessons
is only up to everyone.

holidays are easy with or without people or sleep
lack of either matters really not for there is enough time -
nights and a world outside waiting to be befriended.

jumped queues and assumed new positions do not really
last long for that place is not really one's own
at times it takes another to tell them or to show them.

their places, their places. wishes, may be. wishes could be
and a lesson for fishes and for birds, fallen wings
unassumingly assuming places taken are only wrong.

there is where belong the turtles. there is where
belong fishes yellow blue black green and gray
once known, fishes can and only should swim

where they should, hiding faces, stupidly opening
and closing mouths with unblinking eyes, no it's not wonder
only plain obvious stupidity that will always be.
