Uselessly Young

He was really very young when he was born. Younger than the youngest ever known. And they held it against him all his life.

"Uselessly young when you were born!" they said, impossible for anyone to miss that tinge of accusation in their voices.

All his life that followed, he tried not to be so very young, but younger than the rest of the world was what he was when he was born.

"I'll never be born so young ever again!" he vowed at the time of his death at a very ripe age, 109 years old when he died, having lived a very long life of regret and bad feelings.

Born again, and he was still the youngest ever when he was born, and there was nothing that he could do about it.
