Genesis

He was probably the first man on earth. He never knew how he reached there. But he was sure that he was. He thought so. There were these other things that either did not think or did not have a life. There was him, there was this nothingness and there were so many other things that he never knew existed. But they did.

That was the first day. Atleast he had to believe that it was the first day. He still wasn't sure if he was the first or the last or the lost. He could remember neither yesterday nor tomorrow. Was was never there, so was will. There was space that one could feel, there was time, that one could sense flowing, proving almost everything that needed a proof.

He was still asleep. It was dark. It was almost always dark. He did not know if it was time for him to wake up yet.

Very close to where he slept, there was this thick copper wire. With red plastic coating, that had no warning shouting 'DANGER'. That was probably left to the decision of others(?) - That a thick copper wire with red plastic coating should have something to do with danger, directly or indirectly. No one really knew how it came to be there.

The very high voltage it held in it was completely invisible, so to an innocent observer, it looked absolutely harmless. And this man in his sleep turned, his head touched the live wire. There was a potential potential difference between his head and his toe. Current made its way through his flesh and blood. There was this rush. The current that flowed through reached his brain. Sleepy as his brain was at that moment, it wasn't sure what to interpret from those monster waves of current that came rushing - more, more and more. All that his brain knew was that these signals were to be interpreted in some way or the other. Unable to make sense of what was happening, his brain made its own interpretations of the electrical signals, and started forwarding them to his sensory organs. All his senses went on receiving orders one after another, one after another...

His ears heard something like 'Let there be light!'. His eyes saw something that was very very bright. Felt almost like light. Then he felt a million more things happening all around him. Randomly. Like an automated throw of dice. Random, as he could never make out what was next. His brain it had no time, still busy with its own signal interpretations. He sensed a million more like him born, gone, born, gone... He sensed pain, sorrow, happiness, almost everything - All because of the probable incorrect interpretations of those accidental electric signals by his brain.

There may be a power cut someday - Which would take away all these weird sensations off his senses forever. And it will all start again... Probably...
