Smoke a cigarette or two
To cut down on sinkin’ and thinkin’
Memories make breathing difficult
And they wrinkle your skin
To walk up and down the streets
Eyes pointlessly open, wanderin’
And I haven’t taken my eyes off my feet
Lost, with petty troubles angular absurdity
Every scene glows, but I’m the blinking kind
Dwelling, waiting in all the warmth
Scribbled here and there that’s all for?
Me, one or two or many too?
Ever forever hating the haulting lights
To see circling moths: it’s your world
That you choose – reading poetry I swam
The four lettered I, all four of us
The world here is sweet
Sweetest are our dreams
They’re here to stay and would fill
Their sleepy darkness till the songs end
