sleep

a warm blanket
a day's worth of tired heavy eye lids

tomorrows to look forward to and the net cast far
and wide

in the boat that stays still, the middle of the ocean surface
beneath the star lit skies

when the moon hides behind the clouds, each and every one
with a silver lining

a night long hopeful sleep of peace and calm, as the night surface
of the gently rippling sea

demands nothing more
