it must be five years that they had known each other.
one late saturday evening while he was traveling in a bus, realization suddenly dawned oh him. he had never seen his eyes.
he always wore dark spectacles. always. when they spoke, when they spoke not, when they smiled at each other. it felt like the dark glasses were an inherent part of his face, naturally, as if he was born with them. nothing else would fill in that region of his face that were covered by the dark glasses better. the dark glasses were meant to be there, and nothing else.
five years. he was not even sure about the existence of eyes behind his dark glasses. now he thought about it, it felt as if it did not really matter. eyes or dark glasses.
some things fit into some faces. only some things fit only into some faces.
things that matter. things that matter not.
