Thirty Crow

Thirty crow, thirty crow
Flew here, flew there
Looking for water, some such so
“Find I would some water where?”

There around the there
Was a little earthen pot
Saw he, suddenly out of nowhere
On that miraging dry land hot

Thirty crow, thirty crow
Flew here, flew there
Looking for water, some such so
“Find I would some water where?”

The pot he saw, it was small
Deep inside it had some water
“Ah yes, there inside, I do see water
But my beak short, I can’t reach at all…”

Here a stone, there stone
Everywhere a stone, stone
All around, lots many stones, they shone
And to the thirty crow, the way was shown

Pick a stone, pick another stone
Throw in a stone, throw in another stone
The water inside rose, it came up fine
“Ah water at my lips, hah, all mine!”

Thirty crow, thirty crow,
Drank much, not so thirty anymore
Flew away happy and happier
Felling no more thirtier!
