Pencil Search - Part 3 (The Search Ends)

There sat the man with a long beard that was neatly folded into the shape of the number seven. He had used a paper clip to keep it in shape. I said a polite 'Hello Sir!' to him, and to make myself more friendly I asked him the reason for the shape of his beard. He explained me how successful he was in proving that seven was an even number starting from the basic argument that seven rhymed with even, and also seven is s-even, as in 'Yes! Even'. In a land where everyone had equal freedom of speech, no one was able to say that seven was not even when seven itself confessed that it was even. He said he had used many complex equations to arrive at it, all of them neatly written in his notebook number 87, in blue-black ink. He showed me the stack of notebooks by his side. There was countless number of books by his side. I gave up searching for note book number 87 after sometime.

He was writing something in his notebook. I asked him what was his current research on. He said he was trying to arrive at the accurate probability of getting the number six on a spherical dice. It sounded a bit tricky to me, so I did not ask more about it. I was about to ask him if I could borrow his pencil, then there was this loud siren of the police vehicle. The cops came running holding the blaring siren in hand, (that they said they held just for the effects of it), arrested the bearded philosopher for over consumption of paper, which was considered illegal.

I could not find anyone on the streets to borrow a pencil from. The streets were empty. So I had to go home and settle down to watching T.V.

I think there was nothing interesting on T.V that night.
